On the road – Craiova

8 Jul

Home sweet home! But traveling is even more delicious… Especially when you have the chance to see an amazing city, get in touch with warm people, beloved ones and get a glimpse of a goodlooking urban landscape.

As a kid, I used to go to Craiova every summer and stay with my father’s relatives who live there. I did’t explore the city that much and I used to hate. Of course, there were other times and i only had the chance to see only a small part.

Now, after years, I spent a few days in Craiova and found things different back there. The streets look good, the architecture is impecable and all in all, the city is wonderfully vivid. Young people all over and a handfull of chic pubs and terraces. Let alone the goodlooking City Hall, the National Bank, the theatre and the Museum of arts.

Last, but not least, I leave you with the spectacular Romanescu Park. It was designed in the early 1900’s by a French landscapist and it is considered, along with the Versailles gardens, one the world’s best.
